For this project me, Andy Howard and Dave Jones worked on the flash part and Dan Whittaker and Dan Farrell worked on the website part.
Andrew Howard
Andy came up with the initial idea and he contributed the most to flash part. Andy came up with the webcam, keyboard, colour palette and the image fade. So without a doubt Andy contributed a lot to this project and I can say we would have struggled to complete this project without him.
David Jones
Dave came up with the paint brush tool and he also found the keyboard code but unfortunately we couldn't use the keyboard and code he found. Dave also researched the colour palette and facial colours for our project. So Dave did a lot of the background work and research for our project. Dave's input was vital because he came up with the paint brush tool code in flash.
Me (Chris Dunn)
I worked more on the design side because my skills in flash and the technical side of things aren't great. So I contributed by designing the storyboard to show how our installation would work. I also drew up designs of how our project would be displayed. I also came up with the name quick draw and created the logo for the site. However this was changed further down the line to a different logo that I hadn't designed. So I did contribute a lot on the design side but not on the flash side.
Dan Farrell
Dan worked alongside Dan Whittaker creating the website and the data base. Dan mainly contributed on the design of the website. However it is hard to write what they both did because we didn't work in the same room as them.
Dan Whittaker
Dan worked on the data base and creating the website plus helped Dan Farrell with the design of the site. So Dan did do a lot of work on the php and html side of things. However it is hard to write an appraisal on the two Dan's because they worked away from us in another room.
Evaluation
As a group we didn't communicate as much as we should have and because of this it seemed we worked more like two groups instead of one group. This is due to the fact we never all sat down and worked together in the same room. So it seemed that we were split in two me, Andy and Dave in one room working on the flash part and the two Dan's in another room working on the website part of the project. So looking back it would have been better if we all worked together in the one room. However I think we all contributed in one way or another on this project. It's just we didn't communicate enough which we should have done.
